Emily holds a B.A in Global Affairs from Yale-NUS College (Yale University & National University of Singapore). She's worked with students to gain admission into Harvard, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Babson, and more. She was previously a Data & Policy Summer Scholar at the University of Chicago, where she analyzed the impact of COVID-19 mask mandates on consumer shopping behavior in the US.
Emily has a diverse range of experiences within education. She helped design the academic curriculum for NUS College, Singapore’s new flagship undergraduate program. Emily also co-founded award-winning education social enterprise BookMyHappiness, which builds libraries for marginalized communities in Malaysia. BookMyHappiness was the champion winner of McKinsey & Co.’s Youth Leadership Academy.
As an educator, Emily empowers her students to build happy and fulfilling lives according to their values. She believes in student-led learning and will meet her students where they are at in their self-development journey. She takes care to deeply coach each student in developing a track that piques their interest and makes the most of their natural talents.
